We are looking for a Head of section for our Test and Commissioning team in the signalling program. As head of section, you will be responsible for securing the test activities that our infrastructure projects go through before they are commissioned in the Danish infrastructure. You will be leading a team of 10 dedicated and specialized employees and consultants, that handles test in our test lab in Copenhagen, in our traffic control centres or on site in the Danish railway infrastructure.
The Signalling Programme
You will join The Signalling Programme in Banedanmark, which is the largest programme of its kind in Europe and the first to implement ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System) aligned computer-based technology on a national scale. The Danish Signalling Programme is at an advanced and mature stage. New signalling systems are already deployed on the Copenhagen City Line (S-bane) and large parts of the national railway with the critical main lines to follow until 2030.
The project is supported by an international supplier base and consultants from across Europe. Our working language is English.
Test and commissioning a central part of the Signalling Program
The test and commissioning play a central role in the deployment of the new signalling solution and are deeply involved in the implementation already from the early stages of the development. The team is, together with out suppliers, planning, executing and following up the test campaigns that the different releases need to go through before they are deployed in the infrastructure. The team is responsible for the commissioning of the final release, and thereby in charge of the last stage before the system is deployed.
Your main task will be to proactively lead your team and manage the suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the test activities for the various projects across the program.
Leading Banedanmark
As head of section you will be a part of the management group in the area Fjernbane infrastructure in the signalling program. The group consist of 6 leaders who all represent different disciplines in the delivery of the new signalling solution, here among project management, engineering, and installation. The responsibility of the group is to deliver the implementation of the new signalling solution, but also to be an active part in transforming and making Banedanmark ready to handle the consequences of implementing a centralised IT system as the backbone of the Danish rail infrastructure.

Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
