About the role
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you are ensuring a world-class infrastructure that over the last 10 years has continuously had an +99% uptime and has supplied more than 24 billion customers so far.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our SaaS platform's seamless operation and high availability. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure on the AWS cloud to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps, and support teams, to proactively identify and resolve any system or service-related issues.
Bring your fresh ideas and unique perspective to further enhance the reliability of the Queue-it product suite for our customers, ensuring seamless operation 24/7. Your role will involve designing innovative and automated solutions to ensure continuous growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, improve, and provide an efficient, scalable cost-efficient AWS infrastructure for hosting all Queue-it services to support Queue-IT customers globally 24/7 without any interruption.
- Participate in duty team and monitor critical applications and services to minimize downtime and ensure their availability.
- Assist developers in creating automation and developing a true infrastructure as a code solution.
- Collaborate with developers to assist with troubleshooting, and provide consultation when alerts are issued.
- Find and exploit potential AWS cost savings. Identify potential for savings using AWS savings plans, pre-paid services, reserved instances, etc.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of site reliability engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS.
- Preference for experience with Azure DevOps
We are looking for someone who has:
- Good level of AWS product suite.
- Good scripting skills.
- Experience understanding computer networking, Internet Protocol, firewalls, DNS, etc.
- Preference for experience with C#
- Ownership skills and can take care of issues/problems and make sure they are solved in a timely manner.
- Automation wizard skills.
- Great collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with designers, project managers, and other developers.
- Flexible and able to take calls and meetings outside normal Danish office hours if necessary since we are a global company
- Advanced communication skills in English.
