Job Overview: We are looking for a friendly and efficient waitress/waiter to join our team at our busy restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they arrive, provide menus, and take drink orders.
- Take customers' food orders and ensure accuracy in the order.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Clear tables and clean up the dining area after customers have finished their meals.
- Make menu recommendations and provide information about the specials of the day.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
- Work closely with other restaurant staff to ensure a positive dining experience for customers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a waitress or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Basic math skills to handle transactions and calculate bills accurately.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and cleanliness of the dining area.
- Willingness to learn and follow restaurant policies and procedures.
